Subway Comes To Baden

I got some good news today. A Subway sandwich shop is coming to Baden. While that is not good news for most Swiss I am delighted.

For months there was been a little shop on the other end of old town on Weitegasse under construction. I had been wondering what in the world was going to be put in. On the way home from the swimming pool today I noticed a new sign in the window announcing the arrival on the Subway in the not too distant future.

That makes it an American trifecta. McDonalds, Burger King, and the soon to be Subway.

I will be pleased to have the subway as I find that swiss sandwiches are way to dry. A very thin slice of meet, no condiments, and a hard bun or roll makes for a pretty bland taste experience.

Eating the local sandwiches reminds be a lot of the Bozo show. There used to be this contest where kids had to eat 5 crackers and then whistle. The first to whistle would win.

At least we have the best bread!

White rolls: undelicious, dry, boring and packed in a plastic bag!

The Subway opened today.
I'm very much looking forward to a nice chicken teriyaki sandwich, which I've eaten tons of in the US. Now I'm curious if I can choose between swiss and american cheese here too ; D.

Good to hear it opened today. Unfortunately, I am not around to celebrate. Will have to go for sure next week to check it out.
